![]() I opened almost every stall and they were filthy. We arrived 30 minutes before movie to make sure we ordered. We usually enjoy this theatre for lunch and a movie.īut last nights experience (not the movie) was terrible. I am giving Roadhouse only 2 stars since we had the worst experience last night. The establishment relies on the honor system as we were never checked for tickets getting into the auditorium, making me think the care isn't so much about the movie itself than the food and drink sales derived from the movies. Fortunately the constant passing by of staff delivering food doesn't distract from the movie due to how seats sit up a bit higher than usual. My wife and I have been to similar theaters, this one seemed to have the largest percentage of folks ordering food than others (most others offer food, but folks mostly just drank). The seats are wide leather electric recliners that have 'service' call buttons for you to push and theater staff then come to your seat to take your order. The auditoriums we were in had about 8 rows of seats with approximately 15 seats in each row. The theater is quaint - about 15 minutes from our hotel off River and Campbell roads. I enjoyed a Dragoon IPA during one of the movies. We had already eaten dinner elsewhere, so didn't partake in any. Busy hiking during the day, we enjoyed two later evening (8pm-ish for both) movies - Death on the Nile and Uncharted. My wife and I watched two movies during our week's stay in Tucson. To come here again I'd ask they remove the strong smell of the theatre, fix their machines to read giftcards better, clean their seats thoroughly, have a complete beer selection, actually cook their burgers, and have faster service. The waffle fries were really old and dry tasting, though I liked the concept and shape. I actually couldn't detect if it had cheese, even though that was on the list of ingredients. My dining partner was equally unenthused with his burger, which was a spicier version. I had to discovered this tactilely since I couldn't see anything. The burger was dry even though I asked for extra mayo, which I couldn't tell I got because I couldn't see my food at all (which I could have if I'd gotten it before the movie started.) And half the burger and sauce and lettuce was outside of the burger, as though it slid away from the bun. I don't think anyone goes in there and actually cleans each seat after the show and if they do clean the seats, it's with a slimy rag. I felt like I was sitting in something that benefited from not having the lights on. My tray table was so stuck that it required my dining partner to use brute force to move it into position, and the seat next to me was littered with litter. I also forgot to mention the seats were grimy. The theatre I might add was about 20% capacity, if that. We waited quite a while for our food and the movie had been going about 20 minutes before we got it. I was disappointed out of the several craft beers not a one was a darker beer.įor food we both ordered burgers and my partner ordered medium but the server said they are all well-done, which means they come pre-cooked. I'm very used to establishments not carrying all the specialty beers they put on their menu. I asked for a particular craft beer and unsurprisingly, they didn't have it. When we sat down it took them 15 minutes to wait on us. We weren't asked what seats we'd like through her, though they were okay. This issue didn't seem much of a surprise to the live person behind the register nearby, so we got the tickets through her. Both of us tried and it just didn't work. We can a gift card and when we tried to redeem tickets from it the machine wouldn't accept the card. When you enter it has this strong smell of candy. enjoy this redundant experience I can get at home, but it didn't quite do that. The Roadhouse was a place I thought might make me. I haven't been to a movie outside of the home in a while, which is probably like a lot of people. We all know this as the movie theatre with relaxing seats, food and drink.
